Hello All,
I am having a hard time programming an automated penalty (premium payment) to be made when an employee was not "provided" with a meal period.
Thus far, I have gone into LM and created a "Premium Pay" definition for a missed break, among other things (split shifts, etc.), however, with split shifts RES will automatically award a penalty payment when the criteria are met, but I am having difficulty creating the criteria under which a meal break violation is awarded a penalty payment.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Here are the criteria necessary to trigger a penalty payment:
1. A 30 min break was not taken for a shift longer than 5 hours.
2. A 30 min break was given any time after the fifth hour of work.
3. A break was less than 30 min.
I appreciate any help on this as it could save a great deal of trouble (and money) to automate this and minimize legal liability.
Thanks!
