micros 3700 5.1 to 5.4 MR1 1

It just says,"The Database has not been started.Please verify that the database is running, then launch the application again."
Every time I start MICROS Database Manager, I get this "Please wait while windows configures MICROS RES" then, the error windows popup, which says "The specified path " is unavailable. which i checked and IIS is running fine. Then I click on OK on that popup and the above error of database has not started error.
