Hello,
Recently received a
1720-SMART hard drive detects imminent failure
Failing drive SATA1 (light blue)
Failing Attribute #05
Error on our MICROS 3700 back office pc after a routine restart. Can I just create a disk image via windows control panel to an external drive then remove and replace the degrading HDD? Do I need to back up the MICROS database? Will the new drive rebuild itself or is there more that I need to do?
I should mention that I am running Windows 7 and that when implemented, MICROS configured the PC in RAID 1
Thanks in advance!
