Hi ,

i have got a small hotel in germany and i have bought an old micros 2000 system from a friend without any manuals and nobody here nows anything about it , the system was programmed for another restaurant so i simply changed the products into our ones i also found out how to reprogramm the keyboard (keyboard version terminal no topuchscreen)and place menu items directly on the keyboard
i still have one problem i want to programm it the way that you can directly enter the NLU or PLU number of an item to book it without opening a menu before how can i do this ?

Thank you for helping

Snowman

Use key codes 0080 - 008B. That gives you 12 NLU keys on the keyboard. At the menu item put in the keybrd column 000080 (for NLU #80) OR if the item is on both the keybrd and on the NLU list use the 1st four digits for the keybrd and the 5th & 6th for the NLU IE 040180. Don't forget to put the actual NLU # in the menu item programming so that you can ring up the item.
Current software versions for the 2700 keybrd model allow an add'l 16 NLU keys, I believe it's ver 3.20 and higher.
Hope this helps.

Your last ?. I am assuming you want to ring up the NLU item BEFORE starting a "check". That is controlled in the employee file, you must set the option "begin check" to zero (like we do for bartenders). That allows an operator to sign on and ring an item w/o a check being started.

Snowman, I have the keycodes for the Micros 2700 and I cna post it on my website, if that would help.
