I'm having a problem on Acer 8200 laptop (XP pro) where the audio tuner wizard comes up when launching IP Communicator (ver 2.0.2.0). The audio tuner wizard is not recognizing the microphone and will only use the Windows Default audio stuff and not the built Realtk sounds. However, when using the IP Communicator, the microphone is working because the caller can hear me. However, the caller at the other end can hear all the things they are saying repeated back to them. The things I say are not repeated. I've try updating the drivers, change settings in Control Panel sounds. How can I resolve this issue?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Luciai,

I had the same problem with Dell notebooks. Several of their newer models (D620's) that were running IP Communicator would have the microphones stop working, even though the Audio Tuning Wizard would pick up the mic. We wound up uninstalling the Dell drivers and management utility, then reinstalling with the latest versions. All worked after that. Hope that helps.
