I am at a loss for a solution. The Norstar system has 4 lines per Phone. One of the phone's upon hanging up any of the lines after either answering or making a call there is feedback coming from the speaker. The solution I noticed is to hit the hands free mute button twice to turn off the microphone. I don't think the phone is damaged because I tried another phone and even another phone line out of the jack and it seems to be the same problem. There is only one jack with this problem. Any ideas or suggestions??

Are you sure that the phone's handset is plugged into the correct port? If you have the handset plugged into the headset port, it would cause a problem in hanging up.

I am not sure if it is a problem with the extension port or not but I do know that when the user hangs up via the release button they are stil getting the feedback from the microphone and the handset is plugged into the correct port. Could this be a jack problem since I tried other phones and phone lines?

Are you by any chance using the "group listen" feature, I know this will happen with this feature but I have never seen it otherwise.

No its not the group listen feature...could this be indicative of a tapped line?!?!
