Micro Focus Report Writer question.

Hi all,<br><br>I am using report writer to generate reports in cobol, and have a question about the output.&nbsp;&nbsp;When I use any of the 'NEXT PAGE' operators, my report prints correctly.&nbsp;&nbsp;However report writer inserts blank line to fill out a page instead of inserting a form feed.&nbsp;&nbsp;I would much perfer a form feed.&nbsp;&nbsp;Can I do this and still automate things with the 'PAGE' operator?&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>This is causing problem when the printer runs out of paper or a user views/prints a report from a word processor on his PC.<br><br>Thanks much,<br>bill i.

You don't say what compiler you are using.<br><br>MERANT NetExpress has a compiler directive to set this:<br>$SET RWHARDPAGE<br><br>

Thanks for your response, <br><br>I'm using Micro Focus's compiler on an IBM AIX server.&nbsp;&nbsp;There is no RWHARDPAGE compiler directive, but this is just what I'm looking for.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any other thoughts?<br><br>thanks,<br>bill
