MiCollab Server - RAID rebuild

I need some Linux guidance here.

The other day I upgraded a MiCollab server running on an HP Proliant ML310 server. The BIOS RAID is disabled as per the Hardware guide from Mitel. As for the server itself, both drives are seen as individual SATA drives and Mitel Standard Linux builds the RAID.

My upgrade process is as follows:
Backed up the system locally to my laptop.
Shut down the system.
Removed drive 1 to preserve a "go backwards if needed"
Moved drive 2 to drive 1 slot.
Installed MSL 11.0.82
Restored the database.
Installed all the blades.
RE-Restored the database.
Verified all is working.
Shut down the system.
Installed the other drive into slot 2.
Powered it on and confirmed that it was running too. However the Server-Console is indicating that the RAID isn't in sync.

Product support is dancing around this issue - originally sent me the instructions for the RAID controller on the 3300 platform. Then he's telling me that the RAID is handled by the hardware.

He's finally understanding that the RAID is done by the MLS and not by the server hardware.
They've recommended the following:
go to the site and remove the drive that the OS is working on, leaving the other drive in the system. Load from the disc and install MSL fresh on the remaining drive.
Then power off and re-insert the drive. Let the system come up. Verify that it booted from drive 1 with the database.
Now go to the Server-Console and should be able to rebuild the RAID from in there.

I'm 3 hours away from this site and can't get there to do this task in hopes that it works.

I do have remote access and would like to know if I can remove the drive with Linux Commands, then re-format it and then try to rebuild the RAID. Or simply rebuild the RAID with commands.
