MiCollab for PC Client 8.0 deployment

HI

I have recently upgrade the micollab server from 7.2 to 8.1 and i`d like to roll out the new MiCollab for PC Client 8.0.
i`ts not just a matter of installing the software and getting the users to login is it ?
Do i have do any config for the MiCollab for PC Client 8.0 to work ?

customer is only using micollab clients. No mobile clients.

it relies on the users being deployed using the deployment blade

if the server has public name and certificates then you can send deployment email
if not then its easiest to get the users to install the client , then login to the web client and use self deployment to push the credentials to the new client.

basically you have to use the auth code from the email or the push from the web client

I`d still need to manually assign the deployment profile to the users shouldn't i ?

I'm doing this here too and having some issues... I get an "error 21" when I try to run the new client.

you`d need to
1. create working deployment profile
2. assign to the user
3. send the deployment email

Traditional client will still work:

Or if opting for NextGen client, it can be downloaded from here:

https://FQDN/ucs/dl/micollab_pc.msi

Login process is the same unless you using deployment profile which will require authentication process.
