MiCollab Avatars flashing

I have one user in an Enterprise of approximately 800 users. His avatars on his MiCollab client desktop flash between the AD picture of the corporate contact and their initials, like the picture isn't available. But, like a strobe. Premium UCC, MiTeams disabled, across all statuses, occurs in web client as well, not machine specific. Outlook contact integration is active. Seems like you can delay the strobe affect by opening Outlook first by a little over a minute. Anyone seen this?

The very Mitel response - what happens if you delete and recreate?
When trying from a different machine - are you logged in as a different user (AD or better yet a PC not on the Domain at all) and have the desktop collab, mobile app or any other program the user has setup closed down (from any other location).
Also at that point if it is still occurring disable the Outlook integration.

Finally has the MiCollab been rebooted?

It sounds like a permission issue somewhere with the account not in sync.
