Hi all.
I have MICC with a queue that is supposed to update positions from 1 to 8 and it only advises of position after the caller has been on the line for far too long. That is to say, if a call comes as number 20 it will only be told of its position when it reaches 8.
How can I make it to immediately give a position for beyond 8 calls?
Information:
1. Messaging and Routing Ports License = 240
2. Configured UPIQ ports = 5

There will be a workflow associated with upiq. If you look at the queue on yoursite explorer, then the 'inqueue workflow' tab, you will see the name and details for the workflow.

Then go to workflows and open that inqueue workflow.

There will probably be a delay configured then a 'check customer posistion' statement - look at those rules and you will probably find something like '<<upiqposition>> <= 8'

Change this to whatever range you want upiq played to.

You may want to just have the statement '<<upiqposition>> > 0' to play upiq to all queued calls.

Do I need to also increase UPiQ ports and also do I need to increase the default UPiQ subroutine as it still has 1-8?
 

You currently have 5 UPIQ ports. This means you can play UPIQ messages to 5 calls at once.
You need to work out how many callers are likely to be queued on the whole systems and how many will need to hear UPIQ.

You only need to change the defauly UPIQ workflow if that's the one you are using. Normally, you would copy the defualt one and work on the copy, leaving the default routine intact.
