I have purchased the dealer demo pack and want to install it virtualized.
I see an OVA for 7.1 but not 8.x
I have this issue in to Mitel support, but not sure I'm going to get an answer.
The way I see this is I need to install 7.1, then upgrade to latest. I prefer to have confirmation on this. Anyone?

I dont bother with the ova

load it from scratch , its not hard
install server 2012 apply windows patches
install .net 3.5,excel SQL express 2014 with tools install patches
disable dep and UAC add windows search and desktop experience .net 4.5
load whatever version of MiCC you want

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I want to install Recording on same box. Dox say I have to use OVA to do that.

cant do that

they require different SQL configurations and are mutually exclusive

Pretty sure mitel dont support any other software on a MiCC

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I know they didn't support MiV-CR and MiCC on the same box but I thought it was going to be soon.

I did install MICC via OVA and manually at release 7 and timed myself for comparison (Sad I know) the difference in time from scratch to completing differed only by 4-5 mins.
The manual process could be speed up by using a pre built image you may have with updates already installed so you could potentially save a lot of time making the OVA deployment pretty useless really.
I always assumed Mitel must have come to the same conclusion.

Like not using Micw , with manual installation you know what has and hasn't been done

Judging by the rest of the prairiefyre QA before release I wouldn't trust them to build the ova

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Update on this. Original issue was licensing. I could not for the life of me create an ARID with the Dealer Demo license. I'm no stranger to Mitel AMC. I've done dozens of PBX license. Anyway, I wrote an email chewing Mitel out on their lack of support (because I didn't have an ARId and they wouldn't help me get the ARID. Before I sent it I tried one more time. It worked. You 'splain it to mee Lucy.
Anyway, Support did advise me that the Dealer Demo does not entitle me to an OVA, and does not work with an OVA. I'm having to install 8.1 directly, BUT, the 8.1 install and admin guide only covers using an OVA.
Mitel, you suck.

The Ova would require you to provide a S2012 Product key and an excel product key , you should still be able to use your arid on it after its deployed.

Like i said i dont bother with it but I seem to recall trying it once a while ago and thats what was required

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....
