Mic light can only be used manually

I haven't been to the site yet, but I wanted to try and get a heads up before I went. The customer had a power surge over the weekend. Ext. 28 and 17 mic buttons are not staying on. The person can use it if pressed manually, but once the call is terminated the mic button goes off. Any suggestions???

Have they pressed the mic button while off the telephone? Or have they only activated it while talking on a call. If they have only tried activating while on a call, it will continue to go off each time they hang-up. If you activate it while the phone is idle, it will stay on when they hang-up on their next call.
