MIB modification

I can see just about every SNMP compliant device via CIM 7, however the description on many of the devices is lacking. If memory serves correctly that is a setting/fuction of the MIB of each device.

How do I change that?

YOu need to get the mibs for each device form the manufacturer and add them to the IM7 console via the Tools otpion.
