Hi,

i'm new to SNMP, i use sysServices(.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.7) information to determine the device type i.e server(76), switch(3) or router(4,78).

And few say it's not the correct way to do that. Can anyone give me an alternate way to find the device type (i.e server, switch or router) from SNMP response.

hope some one will help me.

thanks
