the octel250 was working fine ...up until a couple of days ago.

the system works, but there is false message waiting status on the phones ... so we wanted to login and reset the message waiting indicators

when we dialin the modem answers and then all we see on the screen is Mhz for <enter> or <ctrlC>

and nothing happens ... what does this mean? any suggestions

are you sure you are connecting to the octel modem ?? if you are it sounds like the modem is fryed. what com package are you using ? you need to use one that emulates a wyse 50 terminal

this happens on and off ... we are not able to recreate the problem, but it goes away after some time

this does not go away with the restart of the modem/ and the modem is ok, because we can login later on ...

we are using procomm and wyse 50 emulation

it can also mean that the local terminal is active even if the logon screen is on the terminal connected to the octel you will not be ablr to log in to the modem
