MGC Card replacement

Hi i have a CS1000E,HA release 5.0 working at a site, MGC card(4-1) of same system is given problem and due to this i have to replace MGC with daughter board also. Mean i have arrange another MGC with daughter board..Can somebody guide What will be the correct procedure to change MGS??

1- I have to gave ELAN of MGC only???
2- Other MGC loadware/updates will automatically installed on
new MGC??
3- How much time required to get registered new MGC with all
updates??

Could somebody briefly points the procedure??

Hi,

Not sure if you found the answer yet, but this is what you need to do:

- Get new hardware
- Remove old hardware
- Connect laptop to port 0 9600-N-8-1
- Place new hardware
- Follow install menu
- Get coffee
- See if all configuration is loaded and firmware updated.
- Depending on release add the MGC to the security domain.
