I have an mg1000 that shows good health checks. For the past year or so, a certain range of users seem to be having the oddest of issues, ranging from getting random "starting dhcp" messages to just simple the phone going out (inevitably having it's power supply replaced). Its a mixture of 1120 and 1140 types. I have noticed they all, so far, are on my virtual 200 block. I've been having a recent spat of analog polycomms get a real bad hissing noise during calls, when we've added their stand-alone power supplies this appears to go away. Over the years, I've replaced several dozen 1120/1140 power supplies.

Several questions:

Since this is a virtual setup, how exactly are those IP phones registered in? As in, is there a physical card that is handling this processing?

Im starting to wonder if a virtual loop is setup on a specific section, can I be running into an issue with power internal to the mg1000 which is creating noise back to the data switches and shutting these ports down on my switch?
