MFT resize using fsutil 1

Hey all,

I understand that the MFT can be resized using fsutil.

But as i understand it - every drive has an MFT on it (primary boot disks and secondary disks).

So does this just work on the primary boot disk or all disks?

If it works only on the primary boot - how do you do the same to a secondary drive?

I believe this to only be set once on the master boot drive.

fsutil behavior query /?
fsutil behanior set /?

and they don't really give an option for other disks.

I hope this helps. I have never researched FSUTIL before.

But since the other drives have MFT does that mean it does all of them?

It looks like this is a global setting for the server, since the MFT parameters are kept in the registry. So whatever you set your MFT to, it will apply to all the volumes linked to that server.
