There seems to be a bug in the BOM entry screen for BOMs with Phantom sub-assemblies.

I have a user who is updating the Issue From sites for BOMs and after doing a couple the system just seems to hang.

When I look into the SQL tables BM010115 and BM010415 the sub-assembly is setup as a sub-assembly of itself. From the BOM entry screen it seems as if the bom contiains the same bom until infinity.

I have to remove the entry where PPN_I = CPN_I in BM010115 and set Bomtype_I back to 3 in BM010415 for the phantom sub assembly.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

i know there was a similar posting in gp discussion forum which i saw today. let me try it and give you my feedback later.

are you on the latest sp?
