Hi all,

Got a Compaq proliant DL360 running Metaframe XP 1.0 on Win2k Server SP1. We have been trying to apply the Microsoft I.E update from MS01-055. It installs okay, but on rebooting, the logon is very slow (3-4 minutes), and the following error appears.

termsrv.exe - application error. 0x77f82460 referenced memory at 0x00000010. The memory could not be written.

I've rolled it back, but would like to get the update applied, as this box is used for browsing by remote clients. The patch installed fine throughout the rest of the network, including onto two Dell poweredge boxes running Win2k SP1 and Metaframe 1.8. Any clues?

Thanks

Don

Did you put the Terminal Server into change user /install mode before applying the hotfix?

Surely did, however it has now become a moot point. MS have delivered a patch for yet another bloody great hole in their browser software (MS01-058), which supersedes this update. Thanks for your reply.
