MEW not working from MD to Mitel

Hello,
We have an MD110 at BC11 sp13, a voice mail system connected via q-sig and a Mitel 3300 also connected via q-sig. All works fine except for the message waiting on the Mitel.

Here are my parameters for both connections:
Route from MD to Mitel 3300.

you are using UUS1-2-3... i think is better to use GFP... is more standardized...

try with:

RODAI:ROU=99,TYPE=SL60,VARC=00000310,VARI=10040000,VARO=06300000;
RODDIEST=2000,ROU=99,ADC=1005000000000250100000001,TRC=0,SRT=1;

This enable GFP toward MITEL...

Wich kind of ICS do you have towards voice mail system? serial, ethernet or over QSIG ? Are you sure that voice mail sends notifications?

Hi,

The interface to the voice mail is q-sig and yes the notifications are being sent from the voice mail to the MD but the MD is not forwarding them onto the Mitel.

I have been told that this scenario will not work but I have think the MD should still be sending the information to the Mitel.

Well try to change your dest ADC=06061... instead(to MITEL) and check it. When the voicemail send setup to MD with MEW IE. MD will analyse the number. What ever the number is, MD will try to send MEW. If its an MD extension no problem if its a destination then MD will check many parameters. Try it.

The MD110 only supports Message Waiting by Proprietary Protocol within QSig.

Unless the Mitel understands the MD110 Message Wait IE it will not.
