Metrologic Barcode reader programming - help

I'm trying to reverse engineer a barcode. I have re-created the barcode using a barcode generator and found they are using Interleaved 2 of 5 code type. My setup sheets "contain nothing but the barcode" work now and delete the last char off of the code. So a code 000000316247 will give me a code of 31624. Now we need to also include the last digit 7 to make it a 6 digit code.

I have the metrologic program guide but not easy to understand.

I found a programming utility Metroset2 from Honeywell - much easier than trying to figure out the book.
