Has anybody had issues with loading data into metrics manager. I am getting the following error:

Option 4: Transfer data from staging area into Cognos Metrics Manager and recalculate
Process failed:

Returned non-zero (1) exit code

Thanks for the help.

Good catch, Send that one to the Cognos Support people to log, and ask for a definition of that error. They probably can tell you right away what it is.

Thanks CP.

Cognos Support had me change the logon services from Local System to the domain logon id. That seemed to fix that problem. But - they couldn't really tell me what the problem. Now - I'm getting errors saying that my transaction log file is full. I've truncated and shrunk the file - but everytime I hit option 4 - the file grows to over 500 mb and bombs out because I run out of space. I'm loading under 100 records - I can't understand why the file is getting so big. Any ideas.

we are getting problems loading data from KPI_VALUE_STAGE via option 4, it either fails because the transaction log grows to be too large, or takes over 7 hours to process 90,000 records.

Did you get anywhere with this..?

Unfortunately Cognos Support wasn't much help. They told me I had to increase the amount of disk space of my transaction files. When I moved the transaction logs to a different directory - that seemed to help a little. I also started running option4 manually from a command line.
Becareful if you decide to move the transaction log. There are specific steps you need to take, otherwise Metrics Manager will not find the database.

What sort of rebuild times are you getting and how many records are you processing each rebuild ?

I was having this problem even if I was only trying to process 100 records. After we moved the transaction logs I processed about 10,000 records in a half hour (at the most). Before - that I couldn't even get 100 records to process.
