Metric formatting reset to <defualt>.

I have a Microstrategy 7.2.2 project that has report level filters. I modified the filters to point to a different attribute and reran the reports. The metric formatting on the reports is now gone. For example, I had a % to Total metric that was 30.7%. Now it displays as 0.3072344632. When I look at the format via the metric editor, it has been reset to <default> (I checked in 2-tier and 3-tier). The really odd thing is that if I view the report via the web, the formatting is intact (30.7%).
Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

clear cache??? object and report???

I have cleared all cache (element, object, report). I have also updated schema as well as run ScanMD on the project. Another odd thing...Using the metric editor, I changed the format back to Percent, saved and reran the report. The metric showed up with the correct format in desktop but there was no format when viewing from the web. Seems counterintuitive. We have opened up a case with MSI. I'll reply with the resolution if I get one.
