Does anyone know of a way that I can recover a single file whos browse time has expired? I realize that I can use "scanner" to re-populate the client index, but I was hoping there was an easier (quicker) way. Thanks-Bill

Hey Bill,

The easiest way I know of, is just to do a save set recover with the -a option and the path and file you want recovered.

For example:

recover -s backup server -Sssid -a /path/file_name_to_recover

It takes a bit longer, as it has to go through the all the tapes in the save set, until it finds your file, but it works.

Good luck!!
