Method of Object Failed

Created a new attribute in microstrategy desktop using nm form vs id. Schema was updated with no errors.
When attribute is placed on report as page by I receive an error message "Method '~' of object '~' failed".

Does anyone know what this means?

bug, probably need to restart machine. See if the error comes along if the attribute is on the template. If not, in grid view move attribute to page by...

This could be a metadata corruption, in which case your schema probably wasn't updated.

Run scanMD - it could fix it.

If it doesn't, generate a DSSEngine.log (set the DFCEngine setting in Desktop, Diagnostics, Advanced, save and then reproduce the issue) and that may tell you which metadata element (if any) is affecting the Update Schema
