We have several Metaframe 1.8 servers setup with an enterprise application. Users often open various PDF (Acrobat) files in Acrobat Reader 4.0. The users can view the PDF's just fine, but when they print them all the text is "translated" into garbage. The interesting thing is any graphics (BMPs, JPGS, etc) in the files print fine.

Addtional Facts:
Printers Tested: HP LJ 5Si, HP LJ 5MP, HP LJ 4500
Acrobat Reader Versions Tested: 4 and 5
Various PDF files tested.
Various users tested.

We are using the WTSPRNT.INF file to print using the HP LJ 4 driver. Could this be out problem?

It has to do with the driver on the printserver. You have to update that driver. It happens for example if you have windows 2000 or XP on your pc and connect to a NT4 printserver with an old driver. Then if you install the win2000 driver on your pc the problem is solved. So my advice to you is, check the driver on the printserver and update the driver to the latest possible.
