Running Metaframe XP on a 2003 Terminal Server, and for some reason Shadow stopped working a few weeks ago. When trying to Shadow from Citrix, I get the following error:
"Shadow failed. Error Code 7051. The requested session is not configured to allow remote connection."
I've been reading up on the issue, and most of what I've found indicates that this is caused by a GPO that has disabled remote control for terminal services. Sure enough, when I try to remote control from TS, I get "Can't remote control session because remote control is disabled on that session."
The Microsoft article here, says to verify that the following GPO is enabled and set to "Full Control with users' permission."
"Computer Settings/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Terminal Services/Sets rules for remote control of Terminal Services user sessions."
I verified that this was already set to "Full control without users' permissions" for both users and computers but tried the recommended setting anyway, and ran a gpupdate on the server, no luck. I also tried checking the local GPO on the server by running gpedit.msc, and verified that the local GPO settings were correct, still no luck. I ran the Resultant Set of Policy wizard for the policy, and it shows enabled, "full control without user permission".
I've tried everything that I know to try and I'm at a loss... does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Andy
