Hello,

we have a metaframe xpe running on two ibm x series 220 servers and clients running linux 7.1 booting straight into the ica client. The probelm which is baffling me is that every so often a couple of clients will simply disconnect and have to be rebooted they may do this for a couple of hours or so and then they will be fine, it is not always the same client and after a couple of hours then they will be fine for maybe a couple of weeks or ever!! hoope you can help
The second issue we have is that the servers sometimes blue screen with a irq not less than statement on termdd.sys. I think it may be may be worth mentioning that we are running windows 2000 as i have seen a similar probelm discribed on windows nt terminal server

would be grreatful on any suggestions

regards

matt

In the first case, are the clients local or on the LAN, and are you using the latest ones?

In the second, check your printer drivers.

What else is listed in the bugcheck? Usually the last device listed is where the system eventually gave up. The driver in which the problem originated is listed earlier, surrounded (usually) by a bunch of subsystem stuff which can help to identify the culprit.

I hope this helps

the clients are on a local lan. I have being investigating this and think it may be something to do with dhcp renewal any ideas??
the server does not list a driver it only lists the termdd.sys as the device which failed i am thinking about rebooting the servers nightly as i refer to microsoft documentation which suggest the irq not less is normally to a missing memory is this a good idea??
