Metaframe 1.8 - losing connection

We're using citrix metaframe 1.8, for the last two days all users connect to the published applications on the citrix server lost their connection for about 20 miniuits then it came back up. Anyone has any idea on what might be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Bad connection in cable? Overloaded switch?

How often does this happen? Can you ping the Citrix server during downtime? Can you telnet to port 1494 on it?

yes we are able to ping the citrix server, I havent tried telnet though

Hi,

I have problems like this when the Citrix server does not
auto-reboot (should reboot every night to free memory)
overnight. To get users back online stop and start the ICA
Browser service on your Citrix server.
