Just wanted to get some information on development of a meta data system/repository. I've been tasked to provide a recommendation on the implementation of meta data repository.
Any tips, resources, watch-outs, that kind of thing, thanks
Unless you are in a very unusual environment it is not necessary take this on. I have been there and in my opinion it's not worth it. The development and implementation costs alone were devastating.
There are several caned solutions on the market that have reasonable architecture, implementation, and support and will jump-start your efforts big time. Not sure what type of metadata you are interested in but keep in mind no can solution is complete out of the box. Hence, you will need to do some customization.

Some are old but still apply and very useful.
