meta data from word document

Hi,

I am new to LiveLink. I have a requirement in my project where I have to parse the word document (template) to get the meta data while I am submitting the document to livelink. Can anyone advice me what is the best approach for this? Does LL has the word document parsing capability builtin?

So far, I am able to create the interface thru JSP to submit the document and create a version in Livelink using the Livelink java api. I am stuck at parsing the document and getting the metadata.

Any help and direction is highly appreciated.
