Help... my W2K server running NAV for Exchange 2000 sends me virus alert messages every minute when a virus is quarantined. I have NAV set for no alerts. Is there a service outside of NAV that could be doing this? THe event log is filled with 'application popup' and the popups have the title 'Messenger Service'. I've stopped the alerter service and the messenger service but that doesn't seem to clear the hundreds of stored messages. Can I permanently stop the alerter? Messenger?
I've searched the Symantec site, Microsoft and here and can't find anything. Clicking through hundreds of popup messages each morning is making me insane...
