Messenger service and workstation services failed

i have HP workstation . i'm using NT 4.0 for workstation. I use Novell client 4.8 for login to both of Novell and NT server. Nt Service pack 6a . When i logging to the workstaion sometime the workstation messenger services and worklstation service failed . Is there a way to fix it.
