i dont know if this is the right forum but i was looking for an internal messaging program which can automatically send messages to others on a LAN network based on changes in a text file.

the idea is to change the text file programmtically and the contents of the text file will be sent.

that is the basic idea but i can live with something similar.

You could run a Batch file that changes the contests of the file, and then uses the NET SEND command (native to windows) to send not the file, but just a notice that the file has been changed.

To use it you must make sure the Messenger service is started. not to be confused with MSN messenger, as they are 2 different things entirely.
