4 port card

Checked the programming and the 4 ports are in the group.
Call each extension one at a time and they go to the VM no problem.

Sometimes when you dial 777 to get into the voicemail, the call rings at random extensions. The message on the display reads voice messaging system as if the call was being transferred from the VM. Doesn't happen all the time, but pretty frequently.

Auto attendant is set up to answer on 0 ring and the lines are assigned to the correct auto attendant. You call in and the same thing happens, but not all the time.

Any ideas were to look for issues? The programming seems fine.

sounds like these extensions are in hunt group 7

check to be sure only the VM ports are assigned to group 7

I would check every extension in hunt group 7 and make sure only the 4 vm ports are assigned (which is what I think skip555 is saying.) I have seen systems where boards were added over the years, or I fat fingered something, and extensions beyond the 4 vm ports were in the group, causing the identical issue you described above.

I had just acquired this site, so i had no idea of the programming. I just looked to see that the correct ports were in there and not to see if there were any additional ports.
Yep. They had the first 8 extensions in the group, but not the next 8. Who knew? Thanks.
