messaging skill for extn gives default greeting

Hello,

Anybody any idea why this line in a vector "messaging skill 99 for extension 1698" gets the default greeting when there is a mailbox programmed for 1698 correctly.

This mailbox can be accessed if you dial it directly and you can leave a message.

The MM is connected via a SIP trunk, below are the traces of what the MM is receiving:

Obviously the important bit, indicates that the call comes from 1678 via cov p directly, in the second case the called extn is shown as 3637 which is the extn of hunt group 99.

How do I get the vec to send it to the voicemail of extn 1678 and get the correct greeting?

Ok finally got there in the end.

For future reference, if anyone else experiences this issue, if you use the step "message skill xx for extension xxx" you need an entry in the public unknown table for the VDN number that is pointing at the vector that uses this step.

In this case the customer had entries in their table for 4 digit extensions beginning with 1,2,3,4 etc.

However, the VDN they had created was 82000,.

I had to add an entry in the table for a 5 digit extn beginning with 8.

Hope this makes sense.
