We have connected to a Merlin Messaging R4, and the login prompts come up. Then won't let us type anything. Any ideas?

Thanks for the input, guys.

Is your configuration in Hyperterminal correct? Baud rate should be set to 38400, data bits: 8, Parity: none, Stop bits: 1, Flow Control: none.

When prompted for the login, type in: sysadmin
When prompted for the password: type in: the admin mailbox password.

You should not change any other default settings in Hyperterminal.

You should be using a DB9 serial cable from the computer serial port to a DB-25 adapter to a 355AF adapter and then a straight-thru LAN patch cable from the 355AF adapter to the RS232 port on the Messaging module.
