Hello,

Does anybody have a solution for the following:

I would like to have a message flag any requests for duplicate records. For example, ifI do a find of last name = Murphy and there are more than 1 Murphys I would like a message to appear, "Caution! There are more than one Murphy's in our file!".

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!!

Define a calculation field, "Message" say.
Message = if(status(currentfound count) > 1, "There is more than one record containing that name.", "&quot
Put 'Message' on your layout with no borders and a fill colour like the screen background. Make the text a contrasting colour.
If your find is within a script, you could save the 'Murphy' and incorporate it in the message but not for a manual find.
