Hey guys.
I have an exchange server that has mails stuck in the queue. They are completely legitimate mails, and aren't viral or blocked in anyway. Messages are being processed, but there are a few hundred messages stuck.

I've tried moving them manually to the pickup folder, however, they just get sent back to the queue.

I have restarted SMTP and Exchange Information Store.

Can anyone give me any ideas.

Cheers
Neil

Which queue? Retry queue? Try opening one and seeing if the outbound address doesn't exist, that's usually the case.

sorry
mailroot\vsi 1\queue

all the emails are legitimate and to correct addresses.

So you need to find the reason they aren't leaving - DNS lookup, remote server not responding, comms failure?
