messages saved in an odd order

Can anyone tell me where the controls are for the order in which saved messages play back? On our old phone system, they played back in a FirstInFirstOut manner. We just got an Elite IPK II, and they seem to play back in a very random manner, with newer messages playing before some older messages, etc. This is happening strictly with the "old" or "saved" messages, "new" messages seem to play in FIFO order. These messages are not being marked urgent, or anything like that.
I do see, in the EliteMail interface, under Subscribers\Access Options, a choice to "hear conversation in traditional order" Would that be it?
