On Sun servers, /var/adm/messages contains information regarding system issues, sudo use, etc. Where would I look on a HP-UX system for this information?

Thanks,

John

check the file location in /etc/syslog.conf. Usually it is a file in /var/adm/syslog and I've always seen it named syslog.log. And it is overwritten at system boot -- and it grows and grows until you boot or trim the file (unlike Sun).

Thanks, it was in /var/adm/syslog as you said.
