Messages not being deleted

I have an issue with messages not being deleted from CP. We have rev 04.04.04.08 and a 703T using CP desktop. I can delete a message and it goes to the deleted folder but that message does not get removed from the deleted folder. Also if you go in through the phone the messages are still there. I have been told by my vendor that this is a KNOWN Nortel issue but I can't beleive it could go this long. It's been 4 Months now.

Are you using Outlook? Is it set to permanently delete all files in the Deleted Items folder when you close the application?
