I have vmpro version 2.1.5 (that's what it says in Add/Remove Programs, the Help->About splash screen in the VM Pro client is unreadable).
IPOffice is 2.1(24)

All inbound lines ring into the "Main" hunt group x300 with one extension x100 "Reception". Reception extention has source# as HMain so message indicator works.

I created a group in VMPro called "Main" and under "Leave" linked the "Start" to a module I created called "AutoAttend".

I created a shortcode *90 to point to the AutoAttend module.

One action of the AutoAttend module allows people to press 0 to leave a message in the "general mailbox". The "0" is linked to "Leave Mail" in "caller's mailbox".

I set up a voicemail password for x300 and the name "general mailbox" and a greeting. Everything works beautifully.

EXCEPT when I made a change to queueing or something on the hunt group (or maybe it's just after a period of time), then it allows you to leave a message in the general mailbox but you go to check it and it says there's no new mail.

The WAV file is created in the mailbox directory on the PC, etc. If I restart the voicemail pro service it will suddenly have mail in the mailbox that you can check.

Why is this happening? Do I need to upgrade to another version?

A side question is what stable versions should I be running of VMPro & IPOffice?

OK, sorry about the reply to my own post, but dial by name doesn't work now in my "AutoAttend" module!!! I've noticed that it will sometimes stop working. I just rebooted the IPOffice & now it works again!!!! ARGGGGHHH!!

Yet again I'm replying to my own post, but this is so that maybe someone else can learn from my stuff :-D

I did some more trolling & found that sometimes this happens when mailboxes aren't set up right. I have 2 sites connected by P2P T1 and I didn't realize that all the extensions in the remote site were set to use voicemail (and none have been set up). I ran filemon from sysinternals on the box & found that when going through the dialbyname part of the AA, it hit about 60 "file not found" (the # of extensions in the remote site).

Since that site isn't ready to go yet, I turned voicemail off for all those extensions. So far, so good!
