i get messages from some people in HTML type format. Even the attachments are converted to code. I'm using Vista and Outlook 2003. Any suggestions? It's a bit annoying - I have to ring people and ask them to fax me stuff..if I can find their phone number!

It is common to use HTML nowadays. You can ring them and ask them to set HTML off for your emails, or get your helpdesk to allow HTML for you if it's being switched off somewhere at your site. As a first step, ask them to copy a mail to your web account. You can then see if their messages are garbled before they arrive at your site.

Thanks for your help. We don't use Exchange so it's all individual Outlook users...and no IT Helpdesk!!!

I fixed it somehow...it was something to do with the 3 accounts i have on outlook...

...can't remember...too many things happen in a day...
