Messages Disappearing in OE

I have a machine, running win98, Outlook Express 6.0 with all patches installed, and Norton Antivirus with all updates installed. I have ran antivirus on the machine and it comes up clean. The problem I have is the are receiving email, when they click on the email the icon changes like its been read, then the email just disappears. They don't even have to click on the email, it will just disappear after about 10 secs. in the inbox. I have checked all the other folders to see if it has been moved, but to no avail. Any suggestions ?

More Information, user did have comet cursor and hotbar installed on the computer. I have removed both of those programs and restarted the computer. We are still have the same issues.

Have you checke the settings under View, Current View?
