Messages being removed from Inbox when replying to mail

I have an issue using Lotus Notes 6.0.4. Whenever I either reply with history or reply to a message, the message completely disappears from my inbox. The message will still stay in my 'Sent' items folder, however it is no where else to be found. I have verified that there are no rules setup, and I am not using the option to forward and file. I am completely lost with this problem - any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you go to View - Show, is there a checkmark next to "Unread Only"?
