We are looking at upgrading to modular messaging from intuity audix. However, we have quite a few physician offices that use the business schedule to have one message during business hours and another after hours and weekends. I went to a demo of it last week and they said this feature is no longer available in Modular Messaging. They also said bulletin boards are nolonger available, another feature we use. Has anyone found a workaround for this? I can't believe they got rid of such a valuable feature. I hate to pay 3 times the price of intuity for a product that can't even do what it does.

Thanks,

Dustin

I am not very familiar with the Intuity Audix, but I believe you can use the Modular Messaging Caller Applications to do something similar. With Caller Applications you can play informational messages to callers which I think is similar to bulletin boards. You can also use the Caller Applications to play different messages based on "day" mode and a "night" mode as defined by a weekly schedule which I think is similar to the business schedule.

Thanks for the info, the Avaya rep giving the demo said it was impossible.

Thanks,

I've never tried anything with the time of day messaging, but I have found a workaround for the bulletin board mailbox. Since we didn't come from the Intuity background, I'm not positive, but I think a bulletin board mailbox is what we call an announce only mailbox, one that plays a message, and then hangs up. This can be done through Caller Applications. One caveat is that you have to use the Aria interface to be able to record the announcement. For some reason, the Audix interface does not have this functionality. Since the Aria vs. Audix is a class of service setting, you can set this on a per mailbox setting.

If you decide to go with MM and need additional help on how exactly to build the bulletin board mailbox, post on here and I'll let you know.
