Another question and I'll have this system doing just what I want.

I have a 4 port Standalone Partner Mail PM04 and a Legend R7 V12.

Voicemail is on Group 770 which is configured as VMI and calls seem to be forwarded right but I can't get the message waiting lights to turn on when an extension gets and voicemail.

When a voicemail is left, the "SysAcc Voice -I" led flashes and the phone rings once but no light.

I have verified that I can turn on/off the MW lights by dialing #53<ext#> and #*53<ext#> from port 4 of the voicemail group.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,
Shanon

It's configured as an integrated or generic VM Group??

The fact that the mail system picks port 4, for a second causing the ping ring on the stations "SysAcc Voice -I" makes me think that the Partner Mail is not configured correctly. Maybe it's not outpulsing the correct code to turn on MWI.

Does this make sense.

Is there something else I can check?

Thanks,
Shanon

Woah! - You have PARTNER mail on a LEGEND? It ain't gonna work. The MWI codes are different.

They have different MWIs huh???? What does the Partner Mail outpulse.

Looks like that would have been standard being the same manufacturer and all.

Anybody know how to hack it? Or want to trade a Legend Mail for this Partner Mail <grin>?

Where can I get a used Legend Mail that's not as much as I've paid for my entire system?

If it's too much, is MWI the only thing that's not compatible? It seems to be working as far as I can tell so far.

Thanks,
Shanon

Shanon, Shanon, Shanon, Same Manufacturer, DIFFERENT ENGINEERS.

The guys that engineered the PARTNER wouldn't even speak to the Legend folks.

Or, to sum it up another way, THEY ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT Machines.

First off, the Partner was for a different (Smaller System Size) Market than the Legend/Magix.

Second, Partner came to be AFTER the LEGEND.

So, they are different, in so many ways.

Even though you can connect a PARTNER MAIL to a LEGEND, about all you can do is verify the PARTNER MAIL will answer and recognize what extension the call is for.

BUT NOT MUCH ELSE....

(I have one set up that way in my Lab..)

Correct, the partner mail should definetly work. Tommy made a good point though about the MWI codes are different. You may be able to do some perifial device, but I'm not sure and the amount of time to do it isn't worth it.
